What I like about this Gazebo: It's very lightweight. I don't have to worry about it falling over in high winds. It provides shelter from inclement weather, a place to stay out of the wind and rain. This is a great asset for musicians and bands who need an outdoor venue to play music for their audience. It's also great for people who all want to share the experience of enjoying the outdoors without having to brave the elements. The gazebo section can be moved into another location or just set up somewhere when one has finished enjoying it . . . .
There is a very small graveyard located in the park, which is not well known. It lies in what was once a part of the Springdale Cemetery, which itself was located on the east side of Springdale. The cemetery and gazebo were both built by Hiram Conibear, who owned the land on which they were both located. There are six tombstones in all, all with broken stones or missing slabs, and one without a stone at all. The inscription on one is illegible; it's marked by fieldstones, indicating that someone is buried there, but no marker remains.

What I like about this Gazebo: It provides a sense of privacy for those interred there, away from the rest of the park's users. Although an older gazebo, it has stood up through many changes in weather and is still in excellent condition. The metal frame is easily fixed if necessary; however, it appears to be already intact. It's easy to clean and maintain; it doesn't require much attention beyond regular cleaning and wiping down with a cloth. It comes with metal curtains that can be closed altogether or altered to provide a partial opening, which is nice if one wants more privacy.
A great deal of the information about the gazebos, the cemetery and much more about Hiram Conibear came from John Mills's book, "Springdale". This is a fantastic addition to the community, providing information about history that hasn't been available before.
The gazebo at Heidgerken (known as Gueidgerkeng in Pamalican) Park was built by Richard Heidgerken for his children when they were young. It houses a large wooden playboat. The boat has to be kept wet in order for it to float properly and can be used by children of all ages.

What I like about this Gazebo: This gazebo is a great value for the money, especially the price per square foot, although it's not as large as some others available. It's very durable and easily cleaned, which is important when using a wooden play boat, as well as having two doors to enter and exit while playing in or out of it. It's also a great choice for those who need to keep their children contained or contained from the outside, such as parents worried about zoning or laws. The play boat can be removed from the gazebo so it can be used on land when it is not in use and placed back into the gazebo when more people are using it at a time. This is a great way to save space inside of a house by removing the gazebo when one is done with it and reinstalling later.
